About Dani Young

Dani Young is a city girl who moved to the outback and fell in love with country music. Mentored by Aboriginal elder Warren H Williams, she quickly turned heads in the industry with a Golden Guitar nomination (Australian Country Music Awards) in 2017.

Dani comes from a diverse musical background, winning Best Young Jazz Act at the 2015 Northern Territory Jazz and Blues Festival and singing with international jazz star James Morrison in concert. She was also featured on iconic Australian rock band GANGgajang’s 2016 single ‘Circles in the Sand'.

Her debut album, ‘Desert Water’ with Warren H Williams was recorded in Nashville and received international acclaim, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Country chart. The lead single ‘Two Ships’ reached #3 on Europe’s Hotdisc Top 40, and was nominated for Best International Release at the Canadian Indigenous Music Awards.

Currently working with producer Damien Leith, Dani Young’s upcoming solo EP is due to be released mid 2018.
